Daniel Morcombe Foundation Marks 20th Anniversary with Powerful Film Launch
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary, a milestone in its ongoing commitment to child safety education across Australia.
Since its inception in 2005, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to keep kids safe across Australia, delivering crucial child safety messages and resources to schools, communities, and families.
The Foundation’s remarkable achievements over two decades include distributing over 2 million child safety resources, conducting thousands of safety presentations, and engaging with children, parents, educators, and law enforcement agencies nationwide. These efforts have helped raise awareness about personal safety, prevent child exploitation, and equip kids with the tools to protect themselves.
Bruce and Denise Morcombe Reflect on 20 Years of Advocacy
Bruce and Denise Morcombe, Founders of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, are humbled by the impact of their work. ” We are enormously proud that the Daniel Morcombe Foundation is today nationally recognised as a child protection sector leader, particularly in the primary prevention and early intervention spaces.” said Bruce Morcombe. ” You guys have been our inspiration. Thank you for your contribution in believing in us and supporting Daniel’s legacy.”
Denise Morcombe added, ” Daniel’s legacy has significantly contributed to something even more life changing…today, it is totally unacceptable to blame victims or smear them with shame. No longer can perpetrators of child sexual abuse hide behind the silence.”
