Who we are
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation was established in honour of Daniel Morcombe to make Australia a safer place for children.
It was founded by parents Bruce and Denise after their son was abducted and murdered in December 2003 while waiting to catch a bus on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The aims of the Foundation are to educate children and young people about how to stay safe in physical and online environments and to support young victims of crime.
Counting down the time until
Day for Daniel!
Today we build a future where children are safe from harm and abuse and can have the opportunity to thrive.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation would like to see a future where all children and young people are provided with education, protection, and support to be safe from abuse and risk of harm.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation provides personal child safety education to children and young people at no cost, to prevent abuse and promote lifelong health and wellbeing. We support educators, parents, and carers through the provision of resources and education and directly support young victims of crime.
How does my donation help?
With your donation, we can educate children, schools and families to recognise signs of harm, to react in a safe way and to report to adults who can help stop the abuse. Our Walk Tall counselling service helps young victims of crime on their journey to recovery. Your support no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
